Cali Streets!

After window shopping on the streets of Beverly Hills, we all met at The Beverly Hilton for our celebrity home tour.  Mr. Man and I enjoyed our tour last year, and we thought our parents would enjoy the beautiful homes as well as the other sites along The Hollywood Walk of Fame...

I remember this beautiful, palm tree-lined street on our last tour as well...

Some of our favorite home sites...

We were able to walk along The Hollywood Walk of Fame, but we did not have sufficient time to go to Madame Tussauds.  This is one of my favorites from last year because it seemed so real...

After our tour, I had the task to find a restaurant in Santa Monica.  I am a fan of Top Chef and after some research, I chose Stefan's at LA Farm...

The hostess was extremely friendly and our table was perfect.  We had a good view of the bar as well as their outside patio.  With a great bottle of Pinot Grigio, we all made our selections.  We started out with some appetizers for the table, such as tater tots, chili cheese fries, and a favorite of my father's, a schmaltz spread.  My parents also ordered a yummy potato soup...

I ordered the duck confit and pork cheek risotto, which inspired my future post on risotto...

Mr. Man ordered the crispy scallops over a delicious bed of sweet corn puree...

My father ordered a beautifully prepared halibut...

Of course we all had to have something sweet.  Our parents indulged in their bananas foster and berry cobbler...

Mr. Man and I indulged in one of the best desserts I have tasted...nutella crème brûlée.  Crème brûlée is my absolute favorite dessert and I loved his spin on a classic...

What a perfect ending to another great day.  Stay tuned as I take you along the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) to Santa Barbara...
