California Love...

Oh, how I love being in California (hint hint Mr. Man).  When Mr. Man and I first visited, we stayed at The Beverly Hills Hilton.  From our window we could see the crew members breaking down the festivities of The Golden Globes.  The room was elegant and simple...

Since we were gaining time, we decided to walk to Rodeo Drive...of course, I'm a tourist!  We had lunch at 208 Rodeo, in which I dined on seared scallops over a bed of polenta cakes and corn puree, topped with an arugula salad...a special they had at the time.  Of course, we had to indulge in their triple chocolate mousse but my pictures came out too blurry...

For this time around, we wanted our parents to enjoy themselves so we booked the W Los Angeles-Westwood.  They work so hard and are super-supportive...it's about time they have some fun and have a relaxing weekend.  The Mega Suite was a perfect fit for them, and I think they enjoyed the simplicity and modern features.  The living area was so comfortable and the views from each room were gorgeous...

Since it was a bit late in the evening, we decided to dine at a low-key, but very yummy, establishment...Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.  Even better the second time around...can they get any better?

Stay tuned for my favorite shops and sights...
