Rediscovering Trinidad & Tobago continued...
It was absolutely wonderful to wake up in Trinidad (I actually had to pinch myself that I was actually here). Our family headed down to breakfast/brunch, which is my favorite aspect of The Hilton...
The smells from the breakfast/brunch area were intoxicating...
I started with their fried bake, bacon, and fried fish, with pepper sauce on the side...
I also took a piece of Dr. Man's made-to-order egg white omelet...
I also couldn't resist the wonderful array of fruit, cold cuts, and cheeses...
After breakfast/brunch, I had to take a quick dip in the pool...
After a quick dip in the pool (and a drink at the bar lol), my father drove the family to Chaguaramas near Crews Inn...
The docked boats were all so beautiful. It was quite surprising to see a few from my own hometown...
After walking around the docks, we drove a few minutes to Zanzibar Restaurant and the view was peaceful...
We ordered some appetizers for the table to share; spicy shrimp tostones, Asian style calamari, San Remo seafood dip, and meat lovers platter...
We all indulged in some dessert after stuffing our faces lol; chocolate explosion and ice cream...
Despite dessert, our family had a late night snack at another favorite roadside spot of my father's...roti. It consists of a hefty flour wrap (often with ground split peas) filled with your choice of curried vegetables and/or meat. I shared a chicken roti with Dr. Man and it was delicious...
Stay tuned to our travels to Tobago...
