Few of my Favorite Things...DE Edition

I was born and raised in Delaware.  While I didn't go out much during my high school days, I really enjoyed eating out during my visits with family and friends after med school.  It was a time when I could really unwind, have a good laugh and great conversation, all while enjoying delicious food!

I love eating gyros with my father at Gyro Kabob House...

I also cannot forget our lunches at Applebee's.  I think I ordered the same thing every visit...tortilla soup with a delicious, gooey quesadilla burger....

For my father's birthday a year ago, we dined at Harry's Savoy Grill.  While my mother ate their filet mignon, I devoured their specialty, the prime rib...

I have eaten at Caff√© Gelato numerous times because I find the atmosphere so relaxing, and the food is just amazing!  I posted this picture for my love of lamb chops (http://www.drgoodfood.com/2013/06/my-love-of-lamb.html) and it deserves a mention again...

I enjoyed dinner at Stone Balloon Winehouse (now revamped as 16 Mile Taphouse) with one of my dearest best friends.  At the time, I indulged in their prix-fixe menu, which consisted of a cheese course; deckle of steak, topped with beef short ribs, with a side of roasted brussel sprouts and yummy stone-ground grits; and one of the best (if not THE best) desserts I have ever tasted, a black pepper raspberry sorbet...

And a delicious pizza (with lamb sausage) from Iron Hill Brewery (oh, and you cannot forget their delicious hand-crafted beer)...I indulged in their Vienna Red Lager during this meal, but my favorite is their Pig Iron Porter.

Stay tuned to one of my favorite restaurants in DE...
