Ole Tapas Lounge & Restaurant, DE

Like I stated in my last post, there are some restaurants that I frequently visit with family and friends to unwind, have great conversations, and delicious food.  My father and I stumbled upon this restaurant one early afternoon before my move.  We wanted to try something different before heading back home to finish packing.  Ole Tapas Lounge & Restaurant passed us on the left and we decided to make a u-turn at the light ahead.  The inside of the restaurant was so warm and inviting, we couldn't wait to see the menu...

I started with a delicious cocktail and ordered the following tapas for us to enjoy:  scallop duo; pulpo; albondigas; costillas y queso frito; and tempura cauliflower.

The scallop duo consists of scallop and shrimp ceviche.  The seared scallop is served over a fried green tomato, with a piquillo syrup...

The pulpo is composed of grilled octopus and grilled potatoes...

The albondigas consists of lamb meatballs...

The costilla y queso frito is one of my favorites...it is composed of short rib-cipollini marmalade, with manchego cheese puffs.  The cheese puffs are so light...

...and I love their tempura cauliflower....

Of course, we had to indulge in their tres leches.  It was absolutely delicious (my mouth is watering as I type this lol)...

A little over a week, we returned with my mother to indulge in some of the same items as before, such as the tempura cauliflower.  We really enjoyed the minor changes to the cheese puffs with the short ribs...

We also enjoyed their delicious croquetas, which consisted of crab and artichokes.  I loved the shaved manchego cheese on top...

But the best part of the night was our delicious paella with "all the works," chicken, mussels, shrimp, clams, and calamari...

And of course, the night before my flight out West, my family knew exactly where to go.  While we dined on our favorites, we indulged in a few items we never tasted before.  We all loved their creamy potato soup...

...as well as their calamari...

Of course, we had the paella and tres leches cake lol!  I'm definitely going to miss Ole Tapas after the move, but I will most certainly return on my visit to Delaware!

I enjoyed their tomates verdes fritos on my return visit with one of my dearest best friends...
