5 Ingredients or Less...

With busy days as a dermatology resident physician, wife to an orthopaedic spine surgeon, and a new mom to a rambunctious toddler, I am always trying to prepare meals in 45 minutes or less (including prep and clean-up).  I like to purchase my grocery items a week in advance in order to prep my meals for the week; however, I purchase seafood either the day before or the day of.  I usually stick to meals that require 5 ingredients or less.  My focus is always on simplicity and seasoning.

Parsnips, scallops, and spinach..

Sweet potatoes, scallops, and spinach...

Pan-seared sea bass with sauteed shiitake mushrooms and spinach...

And a quick appetizer that I prepare when I am expecting family and friends...

Bacon, angel hair pasta, white wine of your choice (preferably something you will drink with dinner), white button mushrooms, and green onions...

I am always thinking of what I can prepare for dinner when I have about 30 minutes before my husband and daughter return home.  What can you prepare in 45 minutes or less??
