Gender Reveal Party in Philadelphia

As my daughter's 3rd birthday quickly approaches, I am reflecting on our gender reveal party 3 years ago in Philadelphia. How time flies!!

Dr. Man decided to have the party in Philadelphia since it was a central location for our families on the East Coast.  We were living on the West Coast at the time, and we thought it would be a great idea to get our families together during this exciting time.  After viewing a video of The Hotel Monaco thanks to my father, it was an easy decision.  I loved their lilac, pink, and grey main ballroom.

We centered our gender reveal party around our baby girl's name, Sage.  I went with the colors green and white to keep it gender neutral.  Get it?  Sage green.  Once I had the color scheme, the details soon flowed.  The chevron theme began with our invitations.  I quickly found green/white chevron straws as well as favor bags. With the addition of creams, whites, and greens from Eventricity Floral Design, the room was perfect…it still provided a "girly" feel despite the co-ed party.

The candy buffet was so much fun to create with the green and white theme, and I probably went a bit overboard thanks to Party City and Oriental Trading Company lol.  The chalkboard signs from Etsy were a great addition to the candy table and gift table.

Thank goodness for good penmanship lol!

The food itself had its "Philadelphia" theme with mini cheese steaks, pretzels, and even water ice!

I absolutely loved the chevron cake design by Whipped Bakeshop, accompanied by the vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with green dots.  They made the buttercream filling pink, so we could reveal the gender to our guests.  Not only was it beautiful to look at, it was delicious...there was no cake left at the end!

Everything came together just as I imagined and I just love the photos we can share with our little girl one day.

  1. Oh so inspirational this Gender Reveal Party in Philadelphia was! The decorations have made me super excited. I would love to use these ideas for my sister’s Gender Reveal bash at some local Los Angeles event venues. I wonder if you can share more ideas for the themes.

    1. Thank you Wenni! For inspiration, I used Etsy and researched other reveal parties!
