Sage's 1st Sail-lebration!

While we are vacationing in Turks and Caicos for my daughter's 2nd birthday today, I am reflecting on her 1st birthday!  How time flies!!

Dr. Man wanted an unique 1st birthday party for his little girl.  We thought about having it in a ballroom in Northern NJ that overlooked the NYC skyline.  He thought that would be too similar to our gender reveal party (coming soon to the blog) that we had in Philadelphia.  His idea was to have it on a yacht for our closest family and friends.  After touring some yachts thanks to Prestige Yacht Charters, we chose The Lexington due to its modern sitting area downstairs, as well as the dance floor and opening to the outside upstairs.

I centered the theme around the pink and grey sailing invitations, as well as Sage's outfits for her day.

Despite being a 1st birthday party, I still wanted to guests to have a "grown-up feel."  As they entered the yacht, they were ushered upstairs and greeted with their choice of white wine, champagne…
